Nuki & octopancy

Digital access to your spaces.

Connect your Nuki Smart Locks with space management in octopancy. Assign locks to the right locations and give guests or service staff access for their stay or assignment.

Digital door controls with tailored access permissions.

The connection

What you can use with octopancy.

  • Connect your Nuki account, import supported Smart Locks and assign them to their locations.
  • Provide guests with a door control through their personal access for the authorised period.
  • Assign people or teams time-limited permissions for cleaning, maintenance and other visits.
  • Lock and unlock supported devices with the appropriate management permissions and view reported lock states.

Everyday possibilities

Three possible use cases.

Arrival without an in-person key handover

Enable the apartment’s door control for the stay. The guest sets up personal access using a link and an email code in their browser and can unlock the supported lock during their access window. No additional app installation is required.

Access for the cleaning team

A cleaning team needs access between stays. Assign the team, unit and time window to the job. Authorised people can use the door control for that assignment, while other access permissions remain independent.

Manage several properties centrally

You manage several holiday apartments with separate locks. Assign each lock to its location in octopancy and view its reported state. With the appropriate permissions, operate supported locks directly when active personal access is not blocking management controls.

Good to know

What you need.

You need a Nuki account with access to the Smart Lock, an installation configured and reachable through the web integration, and the appropriate permissions. An active Nuki Smart Hosting Service may be required depending on the lock and its use. Authorise the connection through your Nuki account, then assign the lock to a location and configure the door control for its unit.

Getting started

In three steps.

  1. Set up the Smart Lock in Nuki and check connectivity and required provider permissions.
  2. Start connecting your Nuki account from octopancy and approve access with Nuki.
  3. Assign the lock, configure its door control and grant permissions to guests or service staff.

Your questions

What you want to know.

Which Nuki devices can I use?

Door controls are intended for supported Nuki Smart Locks. Nuki Opener and Nuki Box are not automatically included. Compatibility depends on the model, web connectivity and provider permissions; we review these details with you during setup.

Do guests need a Nuki account?

Personal access runs through octopancy: guests confirm access with an email code and operate the authorised door control in their browser. They do not need their own Nuki account.

Does access continue after the stay?

Control permissions apply during the specified time window. Staying signed in does not extend it. Independently granted access, such as another assignment, keeps its own time window.

Are there additional Nuki charges?

Any required Smart Hosting Service is provided under Nuki’s terms. Check activation and the applicable conditions for your locks in your Nuki account.

Can I operate the door through octopancy without internet?

Operation through octopancy requires a working connection to Nuki and a reachable lock. Arrange a suitable on-site access method for connectivity problems.
