Access orders – including via API

The right access. Even between bookings.

Service staff do not always need a reservation. Independent access orders give people or teams suitable control permissions for a clearly defined period.

One order across several units

Select the units needed for the assignment. Each unit has its own start and end window. One order can cover several places without creating artificial reservations.

An access order does not reserve space or block bookings. Use a reservation as well when a unit must not be occupied by someone else during the assignment.

Permissions that fit the task

Access templates provide a starting point. Adjust the intended permissions for each order and unit. Actual use still depends on supported controls being configured and explicitly approved.

Assign an order directly to a person or to a reusable team. A person’s category alone does not grant control permissions.

Change and end access

Editing an order updates the permissions derived from it. Once the order expires or is cancelled, it no longer authorises control. Staying signed in does not extend that window.

A person’s other access remains governed by its own permissions. You can end one assignment without revoking unrelated bookings or orders.

Access orders from your management system

Through the authorised REST API, your system can create and update access orders, people and service teams. External identifiers link the correct units and people. Changes remain subject to the source system’s permissions and authority.

An everyday example

Checking a vacant holiday home

A caretaker needs to check the heating between stays. Create an independent order with suitable control permissions for that visit. The order does not itself reserve the property.

Good to know

Your questions, answered.

Can an order cover multiple units?

Yes. Units in the same order can have their own time windows and permissions.

Is this a permanent master key?

No. Access concerns explicitly approved controls within limited time windows. Physical actions depend on the device and provider connection.
