Spaces & reservations

Your spaces. Organised around how you use them.

From a holiday home for a family to a hall for a community event: choose what can be reserved together. Your spatial structure can reflect the way your building is actually used.

From a site to a reservable unit

A site represents your building or property. Add areas and rooms where they help with everyday work. You do not need every level: a room can belong directly to a site.

A unit defines what you make available: an entire site, an area or a room. It is not another building level. This supports both whole-property stays and individually reserved meeting rooms.

One reservation, several units

Group several units in one reservation and define their individual time windows. Planning uses the local time at the site. People, approved controls and automatic actions can be organised in the same context.

A reservation remains useful as planned occupancy without personal guest access. You decide whether it also needs control permissions or heating actions.

Allow time for preparation and changeovers

A minimum break after a reservation allows time for cleaning or ventilation. Set workspace defaults and override them for an individual site or unit where needed.

Availability checks account for protected times on the same unit, including linked preparation and access windows. Separate units for a house and its rooms do not automatically block each other because of their spatial relationship.

An everyday example

A hall for a workshop

Reserve a hall and a meeting room for one workshop. Both belong to the same site but have their own usage times. A minimum break after the hall reservation leaves time before the next booking.

Good to know

Your questions, answered.

Is octopancy only for holiday apartments?

No. The spatial model also supports community buildings, event rooms and shared workplaces. What matters is which space you make available as a unit.

Does maintenance block a unit for bookings?

An independent access or maintenance assignment does not create an occupancy block. Manage the unit’s availability through its reservations.
